She was educated at Vilnius University (Vilnius, Lithuania), Université Paris-X Nanterre (Paris, France) and at the College of Law of England and Wales. Simona is the associate lawyer at the leading Pan-Baltic law firm LAWIN. She specializes in M&A, joint ventures and corporate governance. Simona is the Immediate past President of the European Young Bar Association (EYBA) and the member of the Executive Committee of the Lithuanian Young Bar Association. His training contract at 16 partner firm, Whitehead Monckton, in Maidstone, Kent. He had previously been the Internet and website coordinator in 1997 and 1998 helping to bring about the first EYBA website. Once President David strove to streamline the EYBA Executive whilst seeking to obtain more involvement from Member Groups and thus the EYBA European Committee with a representative from each member group was created during David's Presidency and the first European Committee meetings took place. David remains a member of the EYBA and fully intends to attend each Annual Meeting in the future.
David studied for a Masters degree in Engineering at Birmingham University before moving to France where he obtained a PhD in Physics. He retrained as a solicitor, spent two years in the Lovells London office before moving to the intellectual property, technology and media practice in Paris in March 1997 where he currently works advising under English and French law.
David advises on many aspects of e-commerce including protecting clients' intellectual property rights on the Internet, domain names (registration, recuperation and management of client portfolios) web site design and development, encryption regulation and security issues together with software licensing and development agreements.
David co-ordinates a world wide domain name registration and protection service for clients,
using dedicated servers and has developed an extranet facility for clients to view their portfolios on line. David is at the head of a team which manages domain name registrations in over 145 jurisdictions, totaling well over 10,000 names to date.
David is a member of the Society for Computers and Law and the Intellectual Property Constituency of ICANN. He has recently been invited to join the WIPO domain name arbitration panel.
