Join EYBA

Membership of the EYBA is open to any representative young lawyers association in a city or area within the geographical region of Europe, to associate members (i.e. stagiares, trainees) and to individuals. Where there is no city, or regional association, a national (or other) association representing qualified young lawyers may apply for membership, as may individuals unrepresented by such an association.

Groups entitled to apply for membership to the EYBA are geographically representative young lawyers groups from within Europe being either a National, Regional or City young lawyers group.

Associate Members are those young lawyer groups whose members are studying or undertaking a vocational stage of training to be lawyers, or those who are working in a period of training (stagiare, training contract) leading to membership of a Member Group, as well as young lawyers groups located outside the geographical region of Europe.

Those who can apply to become Individual Members of the EYBA are young legal professionals who do not possess either Member Groups or Associate Members requirements but have applied to join the EYBA as members in their own right.

The current annual membership for Member Groups is € 500, and for Eastern European jurisdictions is reduced to € 250. Annual Membership fee for individuals is € 125.
Membership fees may be however waived under special and documented circumstances after exam and approval by the Executive Committee.

Membership of the EYBA will only be effective upon receipt of confirmation from the EYBA Executive Committee. EYBA reserves the right to decline membership in cases where an applicant group does not satisfy the criteria for membership.
