European Young Bar Association elects new president and executive committee
On 27 June 2009 the EYBA held its Annual General Meeting in Amsterdam where the assembly of representatives of the EYBA Members elected the new President and Executive Committee for the year 2009/2010.
Gabriella Geatti from the Rome Young Bar Conference and former EYBA Executive Officer was elected as President.
Gabriella is a tax lawyer at Chiomenti Studio Legale, in Rome, and she succeeds Simona Oliškeviciute from Vilnius, Associate at LAWIN, who will now serve as Immediate Past President.
Along with the President, the new Executive Committee was elected as follows:
- Morten Schwartz Nielsen, Partner, Lund Elmer Sandager in Copenhagen as Vice President;
- Peter Wright , Senior Associate with Nabarro LLP in Sheffield as Honorary Secretary;
- Mary McKeever of Eugene F. Collins in Dublin as Treasurer;
- Conor Houston Solicitor, with John Rice Solicitors, Belfast, as Editor for Eurolawyer;
- Amina Omar Nieto from Barcelona, as Executive Officer.
